This series of photos, #629 - 633 & # 2469, were taken to prove the opinion of Engineer, James R. Chapman. The seawall has “not been detrimental to the beach,” the beach is wider than it has been in the past nine years, and “Santa Barbara has one of the finest beach fronts in California.” Edson Smith Photo Collection no. 632
