Painting titled The Last Judgement, is a large lunette (arched to look like a half moon), oil on canvas. It is a companion piece to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel of the same size and shape. They hung on either side of the altar side walls, inside the altar rails, at the Santa Barbara Mission. The Last Judgement appears in the Mission inventories of 1835 and 1858. It was removed from the Santa Barbara Mission in the late 1950s- 1960s, and now hangs in Mission San Antonio. Edson Smith Photo Collection no. 1610
